Description: Students will be able to identify current theories and practices on how students learn mathematics. As well as apply appropriate theories in planning appropriate instructional sequences for students. Furthermore, students should be able to identify and correct common misconceptions and errors in mathematics. Finally, they will also be able to describe challenging and motivational activities using a variety of instructional methods and questioning strategies as well as distinguish the properties of long range plans, unit plans, and lesson plans that relate to the students interests, lives and communities.
