Bellwork: Journal Entry- Briefly describe a time in your life when you were happiest. Now, briefly describe a time when you were saddest. These times can be a result of a location, activity, or the company you keep. |
Anticipatory Set: Tell students that they will be learning about literary terms and how they will be able to encorporate them in their discussion of poetry. |
